Essence of Indya is located in a cute heritage building, featuring indoor and outdoor dining. There's great Indian and Indian fusion on the menu including Indo-Chinese cuisine. The lunch specials are fantastic also.

The food and service is always amazing here. To be honest I haven't really checked out alot of the menu but I can say every single time without a doubt my butter or mango chicken curry is always amazing. It always has an amazing level of flavour within the curry and the chicken is always so juicy and tender. Not to mention the service. It is quick professional and caring. The owner is so delightful to talk to and I'm always leaving with a smile on my face. I cannot recommend this place enough their flavour, prices and service cannot be matched. 10/10

This is a really good Indian Restaurant. The chef knows his stuff and the food was great. Will be back for more. The service was friendly and we were taken care of very well. It is also in a historical building which gives it a great atmosphere. Can highly recommend.

Generally good friendly staff and service was good but I think the quality of food has slipped, I had a beef dish the last time I went and the beef was very dry and not much of it. My husband had a butter chicken and usually enjoys it but for both of our meals there was too much salt. The naan bread was average. They have a few dairy free and vegan options which is good.

Generous portion size. Delicious naan. The butter chicken was okay, having read other reviews I expected better. The coconut rice was not the best. Lovely service, so polite and friendly.
